Note: "approval" means after Shein inspects your return (3-7 business days from warehouse receipt). Total end-to-end for a card refund can be 8-22 business days from drop-off.

How to Request a Refund Without Returning

For missing items, items significantly not as described, or low-value items, Shein may issue a refund without requiring a return. Contact support via live chat or ticket with your order number and photos. This works most consistently for wrong items shipped or missing items.

What to Do If Your Refund Is Late

  1. Check your Shein Wallet first - some refunds go there even if you expected a card credit
  2. Confirm your return was marked as received by Shein (you should have an email)
  3. If more than 15 business days have passed since receipt was confirmed, contact live chat with your return request number
  4. Ask for the refund status to be escalated to their billing team

FAQ

It depends on whether the item was marked final sale. Items explicitly listed as non-returnable at purchase are generally not eligible. Contact support if you believe an exception applies.

If Shein's system shows the refund issued, the delay is typically on your bank's side - especially for international card transactions. Allow 3-5 extra business days then contact your bank before escalating back to Shein.
